Oracle VM VirtualBox gives you the ability to virtualize multiple operating systems (OS) on a host computer.Oracle VM VirtualBox was reviewed by Iulian Dinita
Oracle VM VirtualBox is free software that allows you to create multiple 'virtual machines', each running its own operating system. VirtualBox is compatible with IBM OS, FreeBSD, NetBSD, macOS, Windows and many Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu, Ubuntu or Mandriva. On the official website is a detailed list of all operating systems that can be virtualized.
This software allows you to confidently test software or an operating system without major risks as if you were installing it on a new HDD. It also supports network and USB peripherals, SATA disks, and sharing 'folders' between the host and 'guest' systems.
Each virtual machine can be customized and configured with the amount of RAM to be allocated, disk space, video memory, etc. It is possible to save multiple system configurations of a virtual machine, this is very useful when you want to return to a previous state in case of a problem.
There are also interesting features such as, folder sharing, accept drag and drop function and a shared clipboard, offers the possibility of video capture of a virtual machine, useful for making presentations or tutorials.
In conclusion, Oracle VM VirtualBox is a virtualization solution that offers the possibility to install an operating system on a virtual machine using the resources of the host PC, thus benefiting from very good performance.
