We will have to make serious changes in the house to install these 100 inch TVs.
After presenting prototypes for years, Samsung will finally market two TVs equipped with Micro-LED technology.
Indeed, in 2021, with the announcement of two very large TVs, Samsung officially launched its Micro LED technology for the general public, and the Micro-LED will be displayed in large, very large sizes, with two diagonals available: 110 and 99 inches. Really,
Micro-LED technology consists of miniaturizing the LEDs as much as possible, in order to mount a very large amount of LEDs on a panel. In fact, Samsungs micro-LEDs are forty times smaller in size than the conventional LEDs used on a Q950TS. Unlike OLEDs, they are not organic and do not suffer from pronounced damage over time. Above all, they offer two major advantages: impressive brightness and modularity, so it will be possible to combine several panels to get a giant TV!
The first advantage will be common to all micro-LED TVs. In terms of modularity and the ability to compose your own TV by adding additional modules, this is an option that will be reserved, for the time being, for a very rich clientele.
Obviously, the data sheet of the new TV models is impressive and comes with clearly superior features. The 110-inch (or 276 cm) model will integrate, for example, 24 million diodes.
Now it remains to know the price of these two new premium products from Samsung. Judging by the latest rumors, they would cost just over $ 1,000 per inch of mini LEDs. Thus, the 110-inch model could be sold between 120,000 and 130,000 euros!
The prices as well as the availability of these new models should be announced in a few weeks, for a launch in March. Two other smaller diagonals should also complete the manufacturers offer at the end of the year. They will probably be announced at the IFA.
