The many editing functions present in the Darktable offer, among others, the possibility to modify the exposure of the images, the correction of the noise, the white balance, the adjustment of the different curves, but also the cutting, rotation, play on contrast, etc. We find in particular the adjustment and correction of white balance, contrast, exposure, shadows and highlights, saturation, but also the levels, colorimetry and tone curve for each photo.
Darktable is a photo manager that allows the cataloging, processing and retouching of images. The software supports a wide variety of file formats (RAW, JPG, CR2, HDR, PFM, PNG, TIFF and EXR) and allows you to easily export a photo gallery in HTML format or to Picasa, Flickr, Google+ and Facebook.
Darkroom mode allows photo development with pre-processing. Note that the program is 'non-destructive', your original photos are preserved.
In Capture mode you can connect the software to the digital camera and save the photos directly to your computer and you can process them live.
The software integrates over 50 modules that allow you to access many features rich in image processing, tone, colors, optimization, effects, masks ... it also allows you to sort the photos, filter them and perform searches due to the placement of labels, color labels, metadata etc.
In conclusion, Darktable is a free software that has all the features to import raw images, process them and then you can make corrections and classify them on your computer.
