Get the most out of a free operating system from LInux, but keep the Windows 7 graphics.
ChaletOS was reviewed by Razvan Iancu
ChaletOS is an operating system built for those who want to switch from Windows to GNU / Linux and is aimed more at those who do not want to give up the classic interface used by Microsoft.
ChaletOS by the way the system is presented graphically, it is very close to Windows 7. The development team has done, from this point of view, an extremely good and interesting thing. The OS radically changes the air, preparing the user for another operating system not to save him money but to help him and especially it is free.
Distribution is a remix of Xubuntu that works great on computers of all kinds, and the benefits of GNU / Linux combined with a familiar design for Windows users make distribution a very good alternative.
So, this operating system is perfect for both older and newer computers, and from the point of view of drivers and codecs, as Linux used to tell us, they are automatically installed. The installation does not pose a problem to anyone, it is fast and logical.
The operating system comes from the developer with a number of useful applications for those who want to use the computer at maximum capacity, both for productivity and for fun.
Excellent applications such as: PopcornTime, Mozilla Firefox, WPS Office suite (Libre Office can be installed later), Pidgin, Thunderbird Mail, Great Little Radio Player, Transmission, Gimp etc.
In conclusion, choose 64-bit ChaletOS to take advantage of all these benefits of a GNU/Linux distribution on a system that looks great with Windows 7.

Love this Distro. Whilst looking to prepare to move from M$ just in case the rumours of its next OS are that of leasing their software I stumbled upon ChaletOS. Its a beautiful Distro very clean and light on resources; ideal for anyone who is fearful of the leap away from M$.
