How to uninstall apps from Raspberry Pi?

When you test on the Raspberry Pi, then you have to install a lot of applications, some of them are useful, but others you want to remove from the system.

1. How to uninstall programs?

You can uninstall applications from a Raspberry Pi using the package manager or apt-get. To save used disk space, it is also recommended that you remove the larger software installed by default.

2. Current status of the SD card

The first question you can ask yourself is how to find the disk space used on your SD card. To do this, the quickest way is to go to the Accessories menu => File Manager, and then click Properties.

5. Command line terminal

If you learn a few commands, using a terminal to find installed packages is really the fastest.

To list all the packages installed on the Raspberry Pi, use the following command:

$ sudo dpkg --list
And if you want to search for a specific installed package, you can use this command.

$ sudo dpkg - list {package name}

7. Uninstall packages via the command line

Most of the time, 'apt-get --purge remove' is the basic command to remove a package through the terminal.

$ sudo apt-get --purge remove {package name}
$ sudo apt autoremove

$ sudo apt-get --purge remove remotepc
$ sudo apt autoremove
