A screen to better customize your Windows 10 installation.
A new feature can now be tried by some Insiders, a customization screen during the installation of Windows 10, to enjoy a PC experience better suited to your uses.
These functions are present in build 20231, but it is still far from being completed.
In its latest blog post, Microsoft announced that it has started working on a new screen, present in the installation phase of Windows 10 (OOBE). Soberly called Customize your device, this screen will provide six checkboxes to inform Microsoft about the main uses of your computer.
The goal is to get personalized suggestions for services and tools during the installation phase and creativity, family, games, entertainment, professional and school can be selected. Of course, this screen is optional and can be omitted.
The instrument, still in its infancy, will not reach the general public immediately. At this time, only part of Insiders can test it and provide Microsoft feedback.
Microsoft specifies that if an Insider selects one or more boxes, it will certainly be able to see suggestions later, but that currently no concrete differences will be observed on the configuration side after the installation phase is complete.
Finally, keep in mind that this version will bring other elements. We notice in particular the display of information related to the graphics card in the System menu, the addition of Meet Now in the taskbar or even a better management of the applications that will be used by default for Business users.
